India reported 6,422 new cases of COVID-19 and 19 fatalities in the last 24 hours, on September 16. A recovery rate of 98.7%, has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload in the country to 46,389. India’s daily positivity rate stands at 2.04%, and weekly positivity rate at 1.71%. Furthermore, India has administered over 215.98 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.
