Concluding his five-day visit to Kashmir, junior Education Minister Subhas Sarkar on October 3 announced that about 75,000 first-year students of UnderGraduate courses in Jammu and Kashmir would be given tablets. Haryana Govt To Distribute Free Tablets To Grade 8-12 Students
Haryana state education minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar on May 28 announced to distribute free of cost tablets to around 8,06,000 students studying in classes 8 to 12. The project is an initiative to aid online studies for students in government schools in the state and will cost Rs 500 crore on state exchequer. Interestingly, the students will receive the tablets irrespective of their category or family background.

Haryana Govt To Distribute 8.20 Lakh Tabs Loaded With Study Materials
To enhance the study experience in the state-run schools, the Haryana government will distribute 8.20 lakh tablets to the students of grades 8-12. Pre-loaded with question banks, QR-coded NCERT content, Edusat videos and YouTube videos made by teachers, the tablets will also have content for competitive exams like NEET, NDA and JEE.
