French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has vowed to end the suffering of animals by regulating religious slaughter if she is voted to power. However, her stand has triggered the Muslim and Jewish communities in France. She believes that animals should at least be stunned first. But since many religious people consume meat of animals that are not stunned, her pledge to end the practice has ignited a massive controversy.
