'Droom' Raises $200 Mn From Funding, Becomes India's 17th Unicorn
Online automobile startup "Droom" has raised $200 million in pre-IPO funding, taking its valuation to $1.2 billion and registering itself as India's 17th unicorn company. Investors like "57 Stars" and "Seven Train Ventures", participated in the fund-raiser along with others. The company said that it will use the fund to grow its market all over Indian cities and to international markets eventually.

Netizens Raise Rs 13 Lakh To Rebuild Burnt Mysuru Library
Coming in support of Mysuru librarian Syed Issaq, whose library was burnt to ashes, the netizens have raised Rs 13 lakh to reconstruct his library. Reportedly, the private-run library was allegedly burnt by anti-Kannada miscreants on April 9. However, now social media has become a silver lining for the 62-year-old librarian, who was determined to rebuild it even alone. Reportedly, the library consisted 11,000 books on different religions.

Tamil Singers Come Together to Help Struggling Musicians
A global online six-hour long concert "Oru Kuralaai" will be live streamed on Facebook on September 12, where more than 80 artists will be performing. The concert will feature Academy award winning AR Rahman, maestro Ilayaraaja and actor-cum-politician Kamal Hassan among other artists.
