Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Remembers Fallen Heroes Of Galwan Valley Clash, Pays Homage

Defence minister Rajnath Singh on June 16, paid his respects to the fallen heroes of the Galwan valley clash. He said that the troops who lost their lives in the Galwan valley clash on June 15 and 16 of 2020, will never be forgotten. After 45 years, India-China relations turned sour as a clash broke out in Ladakh's Galwan valley and Pangong Lake area, which recorded losses on both sides.

Telangana CM KCR To Extend Financial Aid To Kin Of Galwan Martyrs: Jharkhand

Telangana CM KCR will visit Jharkhand to pay tributes andprovide financial support to the jawans, who were killed in a clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, on March 4 . Rao will provide a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to family members. Meanwhile, Rao will also meet Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. Earlier, the Telangana government extended the support to Colonel Santosh and other 19 Army personnel.

Leh-Ladakh To Hold Anniversary Ceremony For Galwan Martyrs

A commemorative service honoring the Galwan Bravehearts will be held in the coming week, with the presiding commander of the Leh-based Fire and Fury Corps placing a wreath at the Leh Memorial. Due to an aggressive activities by the Chinese troops on June15-16, 2020 night, India lost its 20 soldiers at Galwan, Ladakh. However, this was the worst incident along the LAC between India and China in the last 45 years.

20 Galwan Heroes' Names Imprinted On War Memorial Ahead Of R-Day

Ahead of the R-Day, the National War Memorial was imprinted with the names of 20 jawans who martyred at the Galwan Valley. The soldiers, on June 15, 2020, sacrificed their lives during a face-off with China in the Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh. Reportedly, some of these soldiers will be honoured with gallantry awards on Republic Day. The Army mentioned the martyr's names under the 'Operation Snow Leopard.'

ITBP Plants Saplings To Create 'Galwan Ke Balwan' Garden For Martyrs

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police have started a plantation drive in a garden dedicated to the Galwan martyrs, named ‘Galwan Ke Balwan’. US Commission Report Says China Plans Galwan Valley Clash

The US-China Economic and Security Review Commission on December 1 stated that the Galwan Valley clash was a planned one by the Chinese government. The report referred the clash, which led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers, as "most severe border crisis in decades". It also stated satellite images have revealed that the Chinese Army was increasing its buildup in the region prior to the clash itself.
