TSRTC Employees Won Medals At All India Masters Games 2023

TSRTC employees won medals at the fifth All-India Masters Games 2023, held at Gachibowli, in Hyderabad, Telangana. The event was held on February 15, where six employees won gold and silver medals. The employees who won medals and were selected for South Korea International trip are K Srinivas, M Anjali and K Kishan. VC Sajjanar, the MD of the TSRTC congratulated the employees for win.

PV Sindu Enters Semifinals Of India Open Badminton Tournament

PV Sindu, two-time Olympic medalist progressed to the women's singles semifinals after defeating fellow Indian Ashmita Chaliha at Yonex-Sunrise India Open badminton tournament on January 14. She took 36 minutes to defeat of Chaliha with 21-7, 21-18 and set up a last-four clash with Supanida of Thailand. Sindhu scored 11-5 lead at the interval and then reeling off the last 10 points to earn the bragging rights.

South African All-Rounder Chris Morris Announces Retirement From Cricket

South African all-rounder Chris Morris announced his retirement from all forms of the cricket, stated that he had taken up a coaching role. Morris played 69 international games across all formats, who last represented South-Africa in the ODI World Cup in England in July 2019. Notably, Morris became the costliest player at the IPL auction after being bought at INR 16.25 crores by Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 auction.

Experienced Women Officials Assigned For AFC Asian Cup India

Several experienced women officials have been assigned to the upcoming AFC Women's Asian-Cup India, scheduled from January 20. For 12 participating teams, a total of 32 officials, which include, 16 referees and assistant-referees from 15 football-associations, will take charge in around 29 matches. A statement reads that "AFC has organised various workshops to ensure the highest standards of refereeing are maintained in the said cup."
