Maharashtra police arrested three MNS workers after a video of them abusing, assaulting and pushing an elderly woman went viral on social media. The accused have been identified as Vinod Argyle, Raju Argyle and Satish Lad, and case under sections 323, 337, 506, 504 and 509 of IPC. Reportedly, the accused were installing a bamboo structure to hang a banner in front of a shop, to which the woman opposed.

The markets in Hyderabad sell a huge amount of Ganesh idols, ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31. However this year, vendors have claimed that their businesses have been affected after the ban on use of Plaster or Paris.
