MP Woman & Son-in-law Gets 10 Yrs Of Jail For Filing Fake Gang-rape Case

The 29-year-old Gopal Rajak and his mother-in-law Guddi (46) were sentenced to 10 years of jail for lodging a fake gang-rape case against four neighbors by Ashok Nagar's session court on October 27 in Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, the duo filed the case against them as they often used to have fights over the installation of a hand pump. However, the police found the both were in a relationship.

Rahul Gandhi Visits 9 Yr Old Rape Victim's Family In Delhi

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visited the parents of the nine-year-old Dalit girl who was gang-raped and forcibly cremated in Delhi's cantonment area. "I spoke with the family... they want justice and nothing else. And I am with them on this path of justice", Gandhi said. Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also visited the minor's family and a compensation of Rs 10 lakh was awarded.

UP Police Shoots Gang Rape Accused; Forced Victim To Consume Poison

Uttar Pradesh's Meerut Police on April 3 shot a gangrape accused while he tried to escape police custody after snatching pistol. Reportedly, two among the four accused who were arrested attempted escape while the police was on the way to court.
