WHO Cautions Against Large Gatherings On Christmas & New Year

Ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, World Health Organisation (WHO) warned of large gatherings considering the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, on December 21. It added that the gathering of ''people coming from different places'' may increase the spread of the variant. Earlier on December 20, WHO director-general Dr Tedros Adanom Ghebreyesus had said, ''An event cancelled is better than a life cancelled.''

Rajasthan Govt Imposes Restriction On Religious Celebration, Gatherings

The Rajasthan government has imposed restrictions on all festivals and religious programmes to control the spread of Covid-19 considering the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and Eid-ul-Zuha.
