Gautam Adani Becomes World’s 3rd Richest Person Surpassing Louis Vuitton Chief

Adani group’s chairman Gautam Adani has become the third richest man in the world, with a net worth of USD 137.4 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI). Adani has surpassed Louis Vuitton chief Bernard Arnault, and is behind Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Adani has also become the first Asian to break into the top three on BBI. Mukesh Ambani stands at the eleventh spot with USD 91.9 billion.

Gautam Adani Stands 4th On Billionaire's List, Overtakes Bill Gates

Indian businessman Gautam Adani overtakes Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and becomes the world's fourth richest person. On July 21, Forbes' released the Real-Time Billionaires List, in which Gautam Adani of India was in the fourth position with a net worth of $115.5 billion eclipsing Mr Gates whose fortunes are at $104.6 billion. While Adani Chairman CEO was on fourth, Elon Musk topped the list with $235.8 billion.

Adani Ports Files Plea In SC Challenging Disqualification Of JNPA Bid

The bid of Adani Ports was disqualified in connection to the tender issued for upgradation of a container terminal by Board of Trustees of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in Navi Mumbai. After which, Adani Ports and Sepcial Economic Zones Limited (Adani Ports) filed a plea in Supreme Court seeking to challenge the disqualification. The counsel stated that the same plea was earlier dismissed at Bombay High Court.

The title of 'Asia's richest man' has gone back to its previous owner, Chairman and MD of Reliance Groups Ltd Mukesh Ambani. Ambani surpassed Gautam Adani, as his net worth rose to $99.7 billion, while Adani's net worth stands at $98.7 billion. According to Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Ambani in the international ranking, stands at the eight spot, while Adani at ninth. Elon Musk remains the richest man with $227 billion.

International Holding Company To Invest In Adani Groups: Gautam Adani

Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company will invest USD 2 billion in three green-focused companies of the Adani Group. On April 8, Gautam Adani said, "IHC will invest Rs 3,850 crore in Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), Rs 3,850 crore in Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL), and Rs 7,700 crore in Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL)." The investment would comply with the SEBI regulations. Adani Acquires Mumbai Airport, Controls 33% Of India's Air Cargo

According to a press release, the Adani Group acquires Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) and will begin construction of the greenfield airport in Navi Mumbai. Adani owns a 74% stake in MIAL. Meanwhile, in addition to the six airports, Adani now possesses MIAL. The multinational conglomerate will control 25% of the passenger traffic and 33% of India's air freight, making it India's largest airport infrastructure company.

Gautam Adani Becomes 2nd Richest Asian With $67Bn Net Worth

Adani Group's owner Gautam Adani, with a net worth of $67 billion, has surpassed China's Zhong Shanshan ($63.6Bn) to become the second-richest Asian. With the feat, Adani has now bagged the 16th place globally, four behind richest Asian Mukesh Ambani ($76.5Bn). According to Bloomberg's report, Adani's rise began in 2020 since stocks of all his six companies rose, taking the market capitalisation from $20 billion to $115 billion.

S&P Index To Delist Adani Ports, Cites Firm's Ties With Myanmar Military

India-based Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd will be delisted from S&P Dow Jones's sustainability index before April 15. The decision has been taken because of the firm's association with the human rights violation-accused Myanmar military. Reportedly, a $290-million port is being constructed by the company on the military-backed corporation land. However, the company has not issued any comment on the delisting yet.
