India Slips To 101 From 94 In Global Hunger Index 2021

The Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2021 has placed India at 101 from the previous 94th among the 116 countries, terming the position as ''alarming'' on October 14. Sadly, India is below Pakistan (92), Nepal and Bangladesh (76), and Myanmar (71). The report said the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and the slow economy made the situation worse in the world. However, China, Brazil, and Kuwait have performed well in GHI.
