Ghulam Nabi Azad Floats New Party After Resigning From Congress: J&K
After resigning from Congress, a senior leader in Jammu & Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, floated his new party, the Democratic Azad party (DAP). On September 26, Azad said, "I am launching Democratic Azad Party (DAP) from here today. It symbolises democracy and freedom of speech and thought. Our ideology will be based on the ideals of Mahatama Gandhi." Notably, Ghulam Nabi Azad was with Congress for over five decades.

Ghulam Nabi Azad To Float His Own Political Party In J&K
After quitting Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad is all set to launch his own political party in Jammu and Kashmir. It is to be noted, that approximately 50 leaders of Congress in the union territory extended support to Azad, and are likely to resign from Congress. Furthermore, Ghulam Nabi Azad will launch his party after a rally in Jammu on September 4.

50 Senior Congress Leader To Support Ghulam Nabi Azad, Announce Resignation: J&K
After the exit of Ghulam Nabi Azad from Congress, as many as 50 leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, announced resignation. The step came as a support to Azad, and include senior leaders like former Jammu and Kashmir deputy chief minister Tara Chand, Abdul Majid Wani, Manohar Lal Sharma, Gharu Ram and former MLA Balwan Singh. They submitted a joint resignation letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, on August 30.

Congress Leader Ghulam Nabi Azad Tests Covid-19 Positive
Ghulam Nabi Azad, a senior Indian National Congress (INC) tested positive for COVID-19. On June 21, he confirmed being infected with the virus and has been advised of home quarantine by doctors. Ghulam Nabi Azad's Nephew Joins BJP In Jammu & Kashmir
Disappointed with the disrespect of Congress with uncle Ghulam Nabi Azad, his nephew Mubashar Azad joined the BJP, on February 27, in Jammu and Kashmir. The J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina welcomed Azad in the party during the event at BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar. After joining, Azad said, "We pledge to stand with PM Modi and BJP in the interest of society and the nation".
