Congress Lauds Modi Govt For Conducting Political Meeting In J&K

In response to demand of J&K's special-status, the J&K ex-CM Ghulam Nabi Azad said the restoration of “full statehood” will be “top of the agenda”. Reportedly, J&K's Congress officials will meet on June 22 to discuss their stand in the meeting. However, the meeting called by PM Modi on June 24, includes all the political leaders of state. Besides, several Congress leaders lauded the government for the step.

Delhi Police Detains Priyanka Gandhi; Rahul Says 'No Democracy'

The Delhi Police have detained Priyanka Gandhi and other Congress leaders who were accompanying Rahul Gandhi to meet President Ram Nath Kovind. Reportedly, the police had allowed Rahul, Gulam Nabi Azad and Adhir Chowdhury to meet President with two crore signatures against the contentious farm laws. After the meeting the President, Rahul said, “There is no democracy in India, it is only in imagination, not in reality.”
