UN Envoy Urges Taliban Govt To Ensure Education For Girls
UN' Envoy Deborah Lyons urged the Taliban government to take necessary steps in providing education to girl children in the country. The statement has come after Taliban regime placed an indefinite ban on secondary education for girls. Lyons also raised concerns about the freedom of media in the country. She met with Taliban's acting minister for information and culture Khairulla Khaikhwa, to discuss the same.

Bride Asks Father To Donate Dowry Money For Girls' Education: Rajasthan
Taking a good move against the dowry system, a bride, Anjali Kanwar asked her father Kishore Singh Kanod to donate Rs 75 lakh set aside for her dowry for promoting girls' education in Rajasthan on November 21. The money will be used to initiate the construction of a girls' hostel on NH68. Reportedly, Anjali's wish was read out to her wedding guests in a letter, who applauded it.
