DM North Goa Enforces Section 144 From July 11 Until End Of Assembly Session
District Magistrate (DM) of North Goa on July 8 enforced Section 144 near Porvorim Assembly Complex and Panaji Police Station in Goa. DM further said foregoing prohibition does not apply to public officials on duty, and any other special events for which previous written authorization has been acquired. The order will take effect at 10 a.m. on July 11 and stay in effect till the end of Goa Assembly Session.

Mamata Banerjee To Visit Goa For Strengthening Party Ahead Of 2022 Polls
West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, will visit Goa next week. During her visit, she'll help strengthen the party's election preparedness for the upcoming 2022 assembly election for 40 seats. The visit will start from December 13 onwards. Meanwhile, CM Banerjee will also be accompanied by AITC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, reported UNI.

Goa Forward Party Working President Leaves Party; Blames Congress
Kiran Kandolkar, working president of Goa Forward Party, left the party ahead of the upcoming state Assembly election on November 20. Reportedly, Kondolkar dessert the party due to speculation over an alliance of the party with the Congress for the election. He also said the Congress will ditch the party led by Vijai Sardessai at the last minute. ''Í'll announce my future plans soon,'' added Mr. Kandolkar.
