Google often dedicates doodles to reknowned personalities. On October 1st, the search engine celebrated Sivaji Ganesan's 92nd Birth Anniversary. Also known as the Marlon Brando of South India’s film industry, he was regarded as the tallest actor in Tamil Cinema. He was also conferred upon by the highest honour in cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, in 1997. He had potrayed several mythologiacal characters and acted in multilingual movies.

Celebrating the global 'Pride Month', search engine Google on June 2 dedicated a doodle to honour veteran gay rights activist Dr Frank Kameny. In the colourful doodle, Kameny is shown wearing a multi-colour garland.
