Google To Reduce Commission To 15% In India From Jan 2022

Google has announced that it's decided to reduce the commission for in-app purchases to 15% in India from January 1, 2022. Furthermore, Google will decrease its service fee to 10% in media programmes like e-books, and on-demand music streaming videos. "To help support the specific needs of developers offering subscriptions...we're decreasing the service fee for all subscriptions on Google Play," said Sameer Samat from Google.

Google Removes Contents Over Users' Complaint In India

World's top search engine Google has said in its compliance report that it has taken care of and removed at least 71,132 and 83,613 pieces of content in the month of May and June respectively over the user complaints. Google made the decision to adhere to India's IT rules came into force on May 26. It has also removed 6,34,357 contents in May and 5,26,866 in June due to automated detection.
