Google Meet To Allow Users To Livestream Meetings Directly On YouTube
Google revealed introduction of a new feature to Google Meet, which will allow call admin to broadcast the conference directly on YouTube. It will be introduced in phases. The first is "rapid release," with the functionality becoming available to chosen domains in three days starting on July 21. The second will apply to domains that will undergo a "scheduled release" over the course of 15 days starting on July 25.

GMeet To Allow 25 Co-Hosts; New Features Revealed
Google Meet will be experiencing some new features as confirmed by the search giant Google. Reportedly, 25 co-hosts can be included in every meeting. All the co-hosts will be able to enter and utilise controls in the people panel along with the host. On Android and Web GMeet will be made available from August 16, while in IOS from August 30.

WhatsApp's New Joinable Group Call Now Lets You Drop, Rejoin Anytime
The facebook-owned messaging platform, WhatsApp has announced a new feature that will allow users to join a group call in the middle of it and at their preferred time. This new feature has been effective from July 20. WhatsApp group calls will show a similar feature of Zoom and Google Meet which allows users to join on their preferences. Users can drop and rejoin the call at their convenience.

Google Meet Limits Meeting Duration To 60 Minutes For Free Plans
Google's virtual meeting platform Meet has limited the meeting duration to 60 minutes for free plans from September 30. Reportedly, the advanced features for G Suite and G Suite for Education will also be elapsed. Google further stated that any changes to the new moderations will be communicated. It also reported that the advanced features will be available in 'Enterprise' section of G Suite.

WhatsApp to Unveil New Features for Improving Chat Experiences
Whatsapp will be introducing 11 new features for bettering the chat experiences. Notable among them are video calls with up to 50 people, multi-device support, 138 new emojis and permanent mute-switch for group chat. Besides, animated stickers, dark mode, one-tap group-video calling and QR-code to add contacts are among some other upgrades. However, official date for rolling out these features is yet to be announced.

Google Shuts 'Duo', 'Meet' to be the Only Video Calling App
Google G Suite's chief, Javier Soltero thinks Duo, their consumer-based video chatting app and Meet, enterprise-based video conferencing app should not coexist. Thus, has been decided that Meet will be Google's only video calling service, shutting down Duo. The merger is codenamed Duet (Duo + Meet = Duet). Once integrated, features like End-to-End encryption and connecting users with phone numbers will be added to Meet.
