Google Photos Free Unlimited Photo Storage Will End From June 1

Google Photos free storage policy for 'high resolution' and 'express resolution' photos is about to end on June 1. Moreover, the users relying on Google Photos to back up all pictures will need to pay for the cloud storage beyond 15GB free limit. Under the paid subscription, it has announced plans starting with Rs 130/month or Rs 1,300/year for 100GB. However, photos uploaded earlier will have no effect, confirmed Google.

Google Photos Launches 'Year In Review' Feature In App

Google Photos will launch a 'Year in Review' feature that would appear at memories carousel in the app. The latest feature would enable users to revisit the by-gone year through photos. Besides, it contains a 'preview book' button that would enable users to create an annual photo book by adding or deleting images. However, the feature has not been released for all Google users.

Google Photos To Charge For Amassing Photos, Videos Over 15GB

Come June, 2021, Google Photos will no longer provide free storage to amass photos and videos, instead it will start charging once it exceeds the 15GB quota. The decision is aimed at boosting Google One subscription, which offers cloud storage for Google Photos, Google Drive and Gmail, of up to 30TB space. However, the Pixel phone users will not be covered under the decision.
