CM Yogi performs Puja On Occasion Of Maha Shivratri At Gorakhnath Temple: UP
On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed puja at the Gorakhnath temple on March 1. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi extended his greetings on Twitter and said, "May the God of gods, Mahadev blesses everyone. Om Namah Shivay." Meanwhile, devotees took holy dips at Magh Mela in Prayagraj and offered prayers to Lord Shiva. Notably, Maha Shivratri is celebrated across the country.

Muslim Families In UP To Give Up Homes Near Gorakhnath Temple for Security
Due to security reasons, eleven Muslim families in UP have been asked by the state government to vacate their houses near Gorakhnath Temple. Reportedly, out of eleven, 10 families have agreed and signed the document. According to the Quint, two among the 11 muslim families have been pressurised to sign the document. However, the Gorakhpur DM Vijendra Pandian claimed that none of the families were compelled to vacate.
