Wall Collapse Incident Amid Rains Kill 13, UP CM Announces Ex-Gratia

In Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, heavy rains brought down walls killing 13 people including nine labourers who were buried alive under the debris, on September 16. The Yogi Adityanath-led BJP Government in UP has announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and assured help. Notably, the wall of an under-construction boundary wall of an Army enclave collapsed following overnight rains, confirmed police.

SC Questions Demolition In UP, Asks Govt To Stop Process & File Reply

Supreme Court reviewed a petition filed against the demolition in Uttar Pradesh, and said, no demolition should be carried out by the Yogi Adityanath-led Government. On June 16, SC bench AS Bopanna and Vikram Nath asked the State Government to file a counter reply, explaining how the demolition process is being carried out as per municipal law and order, within next three days.

Twitter Handle Of UP Govt, Punjab Congress Hacked, Restored Later

Early on April 11, the official Twitter handles of the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Punjab Congress were hacked by an unknown. The news came to light after the hackers shared a series of random posts on the feed. However, the two accounts were restored immediately.  In the past few days, unknown hackers are targeting official websites of national agencies like IMD, UGC, and others.

UP Govt Signs Lease Agreement For Transfer Of Land For Ayodhya Airport

On April 7, the Civil Aviation Department of the Uttar Pradesh government signed a lease agreement with the Airports Authority of India (AAI). UP Assembly Speaker To Be Elected On March 29

After Yogi Adityanath's oath-taking ceremony as CM, the BJP led UP Government will now elect the Assembly Speaker on March 29. The name will be announced during a legislature meeting, scheduled to be held in the UP Assembly Secretariat, at 3 pm. Nominations for the speaker will be filed till evening of March 28. SC Asks Yogi Adityanath Govt To Refund Fines Collected From CAA Protestors
