Odisha Raises Upper Age Limit To Apply For State Govt Jobs From 32 to 38 Years

The Odisha government on January 11, raised the upper age limit from 32 to 38 years for recruitment into state government jobs. "For SC/ST/SEBC and women, the age limit is 43 years, for General persons with disabilities is 48 years and for SC/ST/SEBC PwD candidates is 53 years," the government said. The relaxation in the upper age limits will be made during the calendar year i.e. 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Tamil Nadu Govt Mandates Passing Tamil Exams For Govt Jobs

Tamil Nadu Government passed an order to  make Tamil exams mandatory for all government jobs in TN. Students who don't know the language should clear a Class X-level Tamil test within two years of entering the service in order to get placed. "Candidates must get a minimum of 40% marks to qualify in the Class X-level exam," said Mythili K Rajendran, Human Resource Management Secretary.

Telangana: Cops Arrest 24-Yr-Old For Posing As CBI Officer

Telangana’s Hanamkonda Police has busted an imposter, Panuganti Naveen, for posing as a CBI officer to scam people. Acting on a 2019 complaint by victim Vinod Kumar, the cops nabbed Naveen, who promised a government job to Vinod in exchange for Rs 10 lakh. He had been absconding, with his associate T Ashok, after receiving the money. Naveen's aide Ashok is still on the run.
