The Central Government has decided to take a big step forward on the 'one nation, one election' proposal. The BJP-led Central Government has set up a committee to study the issue and submit a report. Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation Saturday and vowed to defend the country and its people from an armed rebellion declared by mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin. Former Indian Army chief General VP Malik (retired) has called for "urgent attention" to the situation in Manipur, amid violent ethnic clashes. Malik's urgent attention tweet came as a response to a retired army officer living in Manipur. "An extraordinary sad call from a retired Lt General from Manipur," tweeted Malik on June 16. Notably, since May 3, ethnic clashes are going on leading to burning Manipur and costing lives.
The Hubballi Airport project will kick off in January and the expanded terminal is expected to be operational within the next two years. The new terminal will cover an area of 20,000 square metres and will be able to accommodate up to 1400 passengers during peak hours.
