Karnataka To Get Chief Minister Today As Congress To Announce Name
The Indian National Congress (INC) is set to announce the Chief Minister of Karnataka, after the thumping victory against the BJP. After securing 137 seats in the southern state, the Congress is in tough spot, to select the Karnataka CM. Notably, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are eyeing the position, and are the two candidates for the post. In this regard, Congress held a meeting and would announce the CM.

Netflix India Income Under IT Scanner, Govt To Tax It Soon
The Central Government is mulling taxing Netflix, the OTT Platforms earnings in India. With this, the American OTT platform is under the income tax (IT) scanner of the officials. As per a draft report, the tax authorities attributed an income of about 550 million rupees ($6.73 million) to Netflix's Indian permanent establishment (PE) in the assessment year 2021-2022. The officials said, the Indian set up is liable for tax.

PM Modi Addresses Road Shows, Public Meetings In Karnataka
With the May 10 Karnataka Assembly Elections, PM Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to the state starting April 29, where he is scheduled to address six public meetings and hold two roadshows. Addressing a public rally for the BJP, Modi said, "There is double development with double speed in the state. Karnataka is ready for the BJP govt again," He also hit out at the Congress.

Avalanche Kills 6 Tourists, 50 Missing In Nathula China Border: Sikkim
On road 14th mile on Jawaharlal Nehru road connecting Gangtok with Nathula at the India-China border, a massive avalanche killed 6 tourists. Furthermore, 50 are said to be missing in Sikkim, confirmed sources. The Sikkim Police who are trying to find tourists said, although tourists were permitted to go up to 13th Mile, many had gone up to 15th Mile resulting in tragedy. A rescue and search operation is underway.

Smriti Irani Remarks On Bungalow Eviction Of Rahul Gandhi
BJP Leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani made remarks over the issued notice to Rahul Gandhi, asking him to vacate his government bungalow. Addressing the media, Irani said, "The house does not belong to him, it belongs to the common people." Notably, the Lok Sabha Housing committee issued notice, asking Gandhi to vacate his house by April 23, as a disqualified parliamentarian isn't entitled to government accommodation.
