Grand Mufti

Jammu and Kashmir's Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam, on April 27 stated the vaccine jab does not affect the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. Clearing the vaccine hesitancy among the residents of the valley, the Grand Mufti stated jab, being an intra-muscular treatment, "does not break the fast." Further, he requested everyone to offer prayers at home, and asked clerics to inform people to follow COVID-19 protocols when in mosques.
