The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued a statement and guidelines ahead of Hanuman Jayanti, on April 6. After the recent Ram Navami violence in 12 states, especially in West Bengal, the MHA issued an alert to the state governments to make the necessary arrangements, ensuring peace in the states. The notice read, "No Hanuman Jayanti in areas where Section 144 is impose." 

The Indian National Congress (INC) issued guidelines for the party presidential elections, scheduled on October 17. As per the guidelines, issued on October 3, any AICC general secretaries/In-charges, secretaries, joint secretaries, PCC presidents, CLP leaders, heads of frontal organisations, chiefs of departments, cells and all official spokespersons are not allowed to campaign for candidates, and if wishes need to resign first. India reported its sixth confirmed positive case of monkeypox, on August 2. A Nigerian man, a resident of Delhi with no foreign travel history tested positive for monkeypox, confirmed by Delhi Government-run LNPG Hospital. The 34-year-old man is being treated at LNPG hospital and was reported to have monkeypox symptoms like fever for the past five days. World Health Organization (WHO) released interim regulations on the spread of monkeypox, which include vaccine recommendations. It stated that mass vaccination against the monkeypox virus as a preventative approach is not suggested. "We are working with partners and experts from around the world on changing the name of monkeypox virus, its clades, and the disease it causes," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated on June 14.… read-more

To prevent the negative impacts of the heatwave, the Ministry of Education issued a list of measures for schools on May 11 in areas such as transportation, health, food, classroom, and uniform. The everyday routine, as well as the school schedule, must be altered.
