PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in Gujarat’s Bharuch and Jamnagar on October 10. He will inaugurate phase I of Modi Shaikshanik Sankul in Ahmedabad, which is an educational complex. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Bulk Drug Park at Jambusar. He will lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore in Bharuch.

In Gujarat’s Vadodara, a communal clash broke out at a vegetable market in Savio town on October 3, confirmed police. Following which, around 40 persons have been arrested. According to the police, a religious flag was tied to an electric pole, which offended the sentiments of another religious group. A container truck in Gujarat’s Valsad caught fire on NH 48, in the early hours of October 1. The incident reportedly took place near Motiwada village, when the truck was en route to Ahmedabad from Mumbai. Following the incident, five fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Reportedly, the truck was carrying bottles of shampoo and perfume, and it took almost two hours to douse the fire.

Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu expectedly won the gold medal with a total lift of 191 kgs in the women's 49kg weightlifting competition at the 36th National Games, held in Gujarat. The event was held on September 30, in which Chanu bagged a prestigious medal.  Recently, the athlete claimed the Commonwealth Games gold medal in Birmingham in August, after lifting 84kg in snatch and 107 kgs.

PM Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the updated new version of Vande Bharat Express Train, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on September 30. The new train, which has been approved for launch after several trials, will be en route between New Delhi-Varanasi and New Delhi-Vaishnodevi Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Furthermore, travel on the train from Gandhinagar to Kalupur railway station, after the official inauguration of  well-equipped train.
