Gujarat Police Seal Madrasa For Alleged Links With PFI

The Vadodara police and Gujarat Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) sealed a Madrasa for alleged links to PFI. According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), an All India Imams Council (AIIC) meeting took place in the Madrasa, while a search was carried out. ACP further stated that the trustees “are being questioned”. This has come after the centre banned PFI under the UAPA Act, terming it as an unlawful association.

Container Truck Carrying Bottles Of Shampoo, Perfume Catches Fire In Gujarat’s Valsad

A container truck in Gujarat’s Valsad caught fire on NH 48, in the early hours of October 1. The incident reportedly took place near Motiwada village, when the truck was en route to Ahmedabad from Mumbai. Following the incident, five fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Reportedly, the truck was carrying bottles of shampoo and perfume, and it took almost two hours to douse the fire.

PM Modi’s convoy stopped in one alignment on the side of the road, and paved way for the ambulance rushing to a hospital. Once the ambulance passed, the PM Modi’s vehicle and security vehicles joined formation and resumed to journey. Meanwhile, PM Modi is scheduled to announced upcoming road projects soon.

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu Bags Gold Medal At 36th National Games

Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu expectedly won the gold medal with a total lift of 191 kgs in the women's 49kg weightlifting competition at the 36th National Games, held in Gujarat. The event was held on September 30, in which Chanu bagged a prestigious medal.  Recently, the athlete claimed the Commonwealth Games gold medal in Birmingham in August, after lifting 84kg in snatch and 107 kgs.

PM Modi Soon To Launch Vande Bharat Express Train In Gujarat

PM Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the updated new version of Vande Bharat Express Train, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on September 30. The new train, which has been approved for launch after several trials, will be en route between New Delhi-Varanasi and New Delhi-Vaishnodevi Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Over 10,000 Cows Released On Roads To Protest Against Govt In Gujarat; Traffic Comes To Halt

Over 200 cow shelter homes have released more than 10,000 cows on to the roads to protest against the state government of Gujarat. The protestors stated that BJP promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 500 crore to the shelter homes, but “didn’t give a single penny”. With this, road traffic in north Gujarat highways came to a halt. A protestor stated that the protests started over 15 days ago.

NIA Arrests 2 Persons In 3,000 Kg Heroin Racket: Delhi

Two residents of Delhi have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a 3,000 Kg heroin racket. After NIA made a seizure of 3,000 Kg heroin from Gujarat’s Mundra port, searches were carried out at 20 locations across three states (14 in Delhi, three in West Bengal, two in Gujarat and one in Punjab). The arrested persons have been identified as Harpreet Singh Talwar and Prince Sharma.
