Mexico Gunfight Kills 8 People, Leaves 5 Injured

Eight died and five people were injured in a firing, which occurred at a packed nightclub in Mexico. The incident happened in the Mexican Town of Jerez when two vehicles carrying highly armed men arrived at the bar. The guys broke in and started firing randomly, confirmed sources. Furthermore, the deceased were club staff like musicians. Meanwhile, recently Jerez is witnessing a number of violent incidents.

BJP Leader's Wife Killed During Gunfight With Mining Mafia: Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, five UP police personnel and a woman were killed while chasing a mining mafia. The tragic incident occurred in an exchange of fire between cops and mafia, on October 12. Moreover, one of the killed in the encounter was BJP leader Gurtaj Bhullar's wife Gurpeet Kaur, following which villagers protested and hostage the police officials. Moreover, a case has also been registered.

Policeman, JeM Militant Killed In Kulgam Encounter: J&K

A policeman from Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police, and a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant were killed in a gunfight at Kulgam Kashmir, while three army-men and two civilians were also injured. 1 Militant Killed In Gunfight with Security Forces In J&K's Pulwama

In a gunfight with security forces, a militant was killed in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, said officials on December 15. The encounter took place during a search operation of the security forces ''around midnight'' at the Usgam Pathri area of Rajpora, as per UNI. Further probe for the same has been launched. However, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be known.

Local Insurgent Killed In Short Combat With Security Personnel: Kashmir

Local insurgent killed in a short battle with security troops in north Kashmir's Baramulla region on October 28. Militants opened fire on an Army and police area dominance party near Cherdari, on the outskirts of Baramulla town, resulting in a brief gunfight. The deceased was identified as Javaid Ahmed Wani. Following the targeted killings of migrant laborers and minorities, security forces have increased anti-militancy operations.

1 Afghan Guard Killed & 3 Injured While Fighting At Kabul Airport

One Afghan guard died and three got wounded in a gunfight with the US, German, and other Afghan fighters against unidentified attackers at Kabul airport in Afghanistan on August 23. Meanwhile, the German Joint Forces Operations Command tweeted, ''At the North Gate of Kabul airport, One Afghan security force member was killed and three others wounded.'' Notably, all the foreign forces will leave Afghanistan by August 31.

Rape Accused Held after Open Fire with Police in UP's Greater Noida

A rape accused was held after a gunfight with the police, after a 12-year-old girl from Greater Noida was allegedly raped on August 25. When police reached the accused's location, he opened fire at them. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women Safety) Vrinda Shukla informed, "the case was challenging as the accused was wearing a face mask at the time of the crime and there was no eyewitness for the incident".
