Pilgrims Thank Indian Govt For Reopening Kartarpur Corridor
The 4.7-kilometer-long Kartarpur corridor was reopened for pilgrims on November 17. It was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic for a long time. ''It's a welcome step. People have been eagerly waiting to offer prayers at Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan,'' said Gurvinder Singh, a Pilgrim. Reportedly, the corridor provides a visa-free facility to the shrine. It was opened in 2019 for the first time for pilgrims.
