Union Home Minister Amit Shah welcomed PM Modi's decision to celebrate December 26 as "Veer Baal Diwas." Notably, PM Modi announced to mark December 26, as "Veer Baal Diwas," remembering the sacrifice of char sahibzadas Guru Gobind Singh Ji's four sons, who fought to protect heritage and were sealed alive, as they preferred death over leaving noble dharma and justice. "I heartily welcome the decision of Narendra Modiji", tweeted Shah.

PM Modi Extends Greetings On Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 9, extended greetings on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, 10th guru of the Sikh religion. "I will always cherish the fact that our Government got the opportunity to mark his 350th Prakash Utsav," PM Modi tweeted. Earlier Union Minister Rajnath Singh also extended greetings. Meanwhile, the DDMA has given relaxation in weekend lockdown and allowed devotees to offer prayers at Gurudwaras.
