High Commissioner To UK Stopped From Entering Video, Visuals Surface On Internet

The Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, was obstructed from entering a gurdwara in Scotland by a group of Khalistan radicals. The incident unfolded outside the Glasgow Gurdwara on Albert Drive, where Doraiswami had a planned meeting with the gurdwara committee on September 29. A video of the incident has surfaced on the internet which shows Khalistan supporters gathered near the car of the Indian diplomat.

UNAMA Urges For Protection Of All Minorities After Attack On Kabul Gurudwara

United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has strongly denounced the attack on a Sikh temple in Kabul, which is said to have caused multiple injuries. On June 18, unidentified terrorists stormed a Gurudwara in Kabul city, killing at least two people, reportedly a Sikh man and a security guard. UNAMA appeals for the safety of all Afghan minorities, notably Sikhs, Hazaras, and Sufis.

PM Modi To Attend Gurpurab At Gurudwara Lakhpat Sahib Virtually

PM Narendra Modi will attend Gurpurab celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev. Celebrations will be held on December 25 at Gurudwara Lakhpat Sahib in Kutch of Gujarat. PM Modi will attend the celebration at 12:30 PM, through video conferencing, confirmed the PMO. Notably, the Sikh Sangat of Gujarat celebrate Gurpurab of Gurunanak Dev Ji, between December 23-25, every year, at Gurudwara Lakhpat Sahib, where he stayed during his travel.

44 Afghan Sikhs Sought Refuge At Gurudwara In West Delhi

As many as 78 individuals were evacuated from Afghanistan, out of which 44 Afghan Sikhs sought refuge at New Mahavir Nagar gurudwara, West Delhi on September 7. New York-based Sobti Foundation's Mandeep Singh Sobti will adopt 32 of 44 people rescued, said Kanv Bhalla, an entrepreneur in charge of rehabilitation operations. According to Bhalla, a small number of people who had family in Punjab have returned to their homes.
