Road Accident: 3 Dead As Dumper Truck Hits Motorcycle In Madhya Pradesh's Damoh District

In Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district, a dumper truck hit a motorcycle, killing three people, said police, on July 8. Rohit Namdeo (22), Sunil Sen (35) and Rambharose Patkar (35) died on the spot, as their motorcycle hit the dumper truck. Reportedly, a case has been registered against the truck driver, and his vehicle has been impounded. Furthermore, the accused fled the spot, and a search is on.

Lightning Strikes Claim Lives Of At Least 11 In One Day: Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, 11 people died across four districts in one day, due to lightning. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of lightning and thunderstorms in eight districts. An ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh has been announced for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. According to IMD department scientists, in 2021, Madhya Pradesh reported the highest number of clouds and ground strikes.

Govt School Teacher Beats Dog To Death After It Passed Stool By His Door: Gwalior

Matadin Gurjar, government school teacher in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior beat a dog to death after it passed stool in front of his door in Gol Pahariya locality. Reportedly, Gurjar pointed his licensed gun at locals who tried to stop him from the act. Following the incident, members of animal and social welfare foundation filed a case against Gurjar, demanding strict action. Further details are awaited.

2 Arrested For Transporting 196 Kg Marijuana From Hyderabad To Gwalior In SUV

The Nagpur police's Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested two drug peddlers with 196 Kg of marijuana worth Rs 29.48 lakh, in Kalamna area of Nagpur, on April 23. The accused identified as Ashok Singh Sundaram (27) and Manish Omprakash (30), were transporting the drugs from Hyderabad to Gwalior in an SUV. After the car was intercepted, the drugs were seized, and a case has been registered against the accused.

MP Energy Minister Cleans Toilets To Spread 'Cleanliness Awareness': Gwalior

Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar on December 17, cleaned the toilet of a government school in Gwalior. Tomar told ANI that he decided to take the step after a girl student informed him that there is no cleanliness in school. "I am doing this so that everyone gets motivated towards cleanliness," he added. Further, he instructed the municipal officials to clean the school's toilet every day.

IAF Recieves Two Mirage 2000 Fighter Jets To Strengthen Aircraft Fleet

India Received Two-second hand mirage 2000 fighter aircraft from France at its Gwalior airbase on November 25. The aircraft can now be upgraded to the latest standards as part of the Mirage upgrade programme going on in the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. India had acquired 51 Mirages in different batches forming squadrons which are based in the Gwalior Air Force station.

The Hindu Mahasabha said in a statement, that it will be making a statue of Nathuram Godse from the soil brought from Ambala Central Jail, where the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi was hanged. Besides, Mahasabha activists have already installed the statue of Godse and Apte at 'Balidan Dham' in Uttar Pradesh. "Statues of Godse and Apte will be installed at the Mahasabha’s office in Gwalior", said President of Hindu Mahasabha.

Bus Collides With Dumper; 7 Dead, 16 Wounded: MP

About seven people died and 16 were injured when a privately-owned bus carrying 50 passengers collided with a dumper on the Gwalior-Bhind road near the Gohad Chaurha area in Madhya Pradesh on October 1. The city SP Manoj Kumar Singh reached the spot with other officers and injured ones were admitted to a hospital in Gohad and Gwalior. ''I wish the injured a rapid recovery,'' said CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
