BCCI Bans Pork, Beef In Any Form Except ''Halal'' Meat, Says Report
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a report stating that the board has prohibited beef and pork in any form under the team's new rigorous diet regimen, allowing only "Halal" meat. According to the report, the board has implemented a stringent eating regimen to help players remain fit and healthy during matches. Fans on Twitter, however, accused the BCCI of pushing halal meat.

'Jhatka' Or 'Halal': Mentioning Mandatory In North Delhi's Shops, Restaurants
The North Delhi Municipal Corporation on March 30 mandated for restaurants and street-side shops to mention if the meat being sold is 'jhatka' or 'halal'. 'Halal' Word Removed From 'Red Meat Manual' For Agri-export: APEDA
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has removed the word 'Halal' from its ‘Red Meat Manual’. APEDA said while earlier classification was done to meet the requirements of Islamic countries, the removal will cater to requirement of importing countries/importers.
