Fuel Prices Likely To Drop As Centre Decides To Release Crude Oil From Its Reserves

New Parliament To Be Constructed By Dec, Says Union Minister Hardeep Puri
Union minister Hardeep Puri told the media on September 16 at the inauguration ceremony that the construction of new Parliament premises is expected to be completed by December 2021. Parliament is likely to host winter session at the renovated place. The Centre is planning to organize the 2022 Republic Day parade at the New Avenue. The Central Vista project includes a triangular Parliament building, a common central secretariat and more.

255 Districts, 1,597 Blocks Facing Water Crisis In India: MoHUA
While replying to a question in Lok Sabha, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri revealed that 255 districts and 1,597 blocks are facing water crisis in the country. The data also shows that 756 urban local bodies are water-stressed in India. The reasons for the shortage of water are mainly the increase in population, exploitation of groundwater and, inefficient use of available water, said Singh in his statement.

Ban On Flights From UK Likely To Be Extended: Civil Aviation Minister
Citing the new COVID-19 strain, the Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on December 29 informed that India will probably extend the flight ban from Britain. However, he said that the final call on this matter will be taken after couple of days. Earlier, on December 22, the Union government decided to ban all flights originating from the UK up to December 31, 2020.

Hardeep Singh Puri Says Vande Bharat is Mission of "Hopes and Happiness"
The Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that Vande Bharat is a mission of "hopes and happiness" and so far over 16.25 lakh people have been benefited with this. The ministry added that on September 13 about 4,170 people returned. Vande Bharat mission, which is currently in its sixth phase, was started with an aim to get back Indians stranded in different countries owing to the pandemic.
