Opp Parties Bring 'No Confidence Motion' In Rajya Sabha Against Deputy Chairman
Twelve opposition parties brought a 'No Confidence Motion' against Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman, Harivansh Singh, on September 20. The motion came after he passed the farm bills in a disputed manner citing that the Deputy Speaker harmed 'democratic traditions and processes'. Trinamool MP Derek O' Brein, tweeted, "They cheated. They broke every rule in Parliament. They cut RSTV feed so the country couldn’t see. Don’t spread propaganda.”

NDA's candidate JDU leader Harivansh Narayan Singh has been re-elected as Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha. Manoj Jha to Contest against Harivansh Singh for Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Post
On September 10, opposition parties unanimously announced RJD leader Manoj Kumar Jha as its candidate for Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Elections. Manoj will contest against National Democratic Alliance candidate Harivansh Singh for the post. He is expected to file his nomination on September 11, accompanied by various opposition leaders. The election will take place on September 19 on the first day of the Monsoon session.
