Harvinder Singh Bags Bronze Medal Through Practice On Farmland

Harvinder Singh won India's first-ever archery medal at Tokyo Paralympics 2021. His journey to the bronze medal was shaped through his practice on his farmland during the Covid-19 pandemic. In a concentration-demanding sport like Archery, reading novels and listening to "Gurbani" kept his mind stable, and calm. He added his life was full of ups downs, but he always managed to rise above the challenges.

Punjab: Man Throws Acid On Wife For Not Bearing Son But 2 Daughters

The Punjab’s Patiala police has booked an attempt to murder case against a man for acid attack on his wife. The accused, a farmer from Naugavan village, escaped after attacking his wife with acid on April 13. Father of two girls, the drug addict accused often blamed her wife for not bearing son and finally threw acid. Sustaining 58% burns mainly on chest and head, the victim is undergoing treatment.
