Haryana Govt Bans Sale & Use Of Firecrackers In 14 Districts
The Haryana Government on October 31 announced the ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in 14 districts. The ban covers districts such as Gurugram, Rohtak, Sonipat, Bhiwani, Charki Dadri, Faridabad, Jind, Karnal, Mahendragarh, Nuh, Palwal, Panipat Rewari, and Jhajjar. Furthermore, the government's order stated the ban will also apply where the average air quality index was in the ''poor'' category in November last year.

Haryana Govt Impose Ban On Punjabi Film 'Shooter'
The Haryana government imposed a ban on the Punjabi film namely ''Shooter'' till further order on August 20. Reportedly, the government banned the film as it depicts violent content and the dark world of crime which is likely to create a bad impact on the school and college-going students. Allowing the film in the state may influence the young minds to promote gangster and gun culture, stated the order.

India's 1st 'Grain ATM' Dispenses 70 Kg Of Grain In 5 Minutes
In what is considered a unique initiative, the Haryana government has rolled out a "grain ATM" that dispenses 70 kilograms of wheat within five minutes in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram. The machine named "Annapurti" aims at dispensing grains to avoid chaos at ration shops. The government will likely set up three more such ATMs. More varieties of grains will also be dispensed in the coming days.

Haryana Eases Ban On Firecrackers, Allows Bursting For 2 Hours
Taking a roll back from its two-day old order, Haryana's BJP-led government on November 8 diluted the blanket ban on sale of firecrackers in the state. Under the revised decision, the government has allowed people to burst crackers for two hours. The government said the restrictions have been imposed under the NGT guidelines to curb air pollution. Earlier, the government had imposed a total ban on firecrackers citing COVID-19 scare.
