In Haryana’s Yamunanagar, three persons have been arrested for allegedly posing as members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and attempting to extort Rs 30 lakh from a businessman. According to the police, the victim, a businessman from Bilaspur, received a WhatsApp call from a “foreign number”. The businessman reportedly also received a threat letter to his residence, directing him to deliver the said amount at a certain location.

In the ongoing investigation of the Sidhu Moose Wala killing case, NIA has conducted raids at multiple locations of various “terror gangs”. The Agency carried out the search operation in coordination with local police personnel. The search has come after a probe has been launched against some terror gangs. The gangs are suspected to have links to the shoot out of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29. 

Police visited late BJPe leader and actor Sonali Phogat’s residence in Sant Nagar, which is situated in Haryana’s Hisar, for the third time in a row. The police recovered three diaries as part of the investigation, and seized a locker that belonged to her. Sonali Phogat was declared dead in a hospital in Goa on August 23. The investigation is going on.

Three women including two sisters and a mother of an accused, have been arrested for allegedly police personnel at the gates of a police station at Gurugram, informed police on August 25. An FIR has been filed, and the women have been arrested on spot. Meanwhile, one man fled the spot. Reportedly, the women were from the same family as a person who was arrested in a fraud case.

Following the death of BJP leader from Haryana and television actor Sonali Phogat, her 15-year-old daughter demanded justice from the government. Her daughter Yashodhara stated that a “proper investigation” is required in the matter. She further stated that the culprits should be given “strict punishment”. The family also believes that there is something “fishy” in Sonali’s death. Further details are awaited.
