UP: Mayawati Demands President's Rule In State After Another Rape Incident
Uttar Pradesh former CM Mayawati demanded President's rule in the state as another girl was raped and killed in Balrampur district. She called Balrampur incident as a "replay" of Hathras case, and stated that "anti-social elements have taken over the state". Mayawati also said that it would be better for Yogi Adityanath to return to 'Gorakhnath Math' if he could not maintain law and order in the state.

UP Police Allegedly Stop Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi From Reaching Hathras Village
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were stopped by UP police, from visiting the Hathras gang rape victim's family on October 1. Taking to twitter, both Rahul and Priyanka asserted that U.P government was trying to stop them. The Police have also imposed section 144 in the district and sealed the boundaries. Hathras Rape Case: Superintendent of Police Says Medical Report Does Not Confirm Rape
The 19-year-old Hathras Dalit woman's medical reports ‘do not confirm rape’, informed the Superintendent of Police, on October 1. UP CM Yogi Says PM Modi Wants "Strictest Actions" Against Hathras Culprits
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted that PM Narendra Modi has directed to take "strictest actions" against the culprits of Hathras gang-rape incident. Earlier, CM Yogi has formed a three-member Special Investigation Team to investigate the incident that has sparked widespread outrage. Reportedly, the CM has also given clear instructions to prosecute the accused properly in the fast-track court.
