74% Health Workers Did Not Receive Second COVID Vaccine Dose: Govt

The Centre's data has revealed that 74% of health workers have not taken the scheduled second dose of COVID-19 vaccine required for the completion of inoculation process. COVID-19: WHO Data Shows 14% of Infected are Health Workers

WHO stated that 14% of the people infected with COVID-19 worldwide are health workers. Besides, WHO mentioned that this could be higher to 35% in low and middle-income countries. However, it is unknown if the workers contracted the infection during work or outside. The trend is similar in India, with few states showing a high rate of infection among health workers. Health workers in Telangana reported the highest infection rate at 18%.
