Imran Khan's Pre Arrest Bail Extended Till May 31
A top Pakistani court extended pre arrest bail for Imran Khan, the former PM of Pakistan, until May 31. The court issued order to prevent the arrest of Khan in any case filed against him after May 9. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruling came after the government’s lawyer requested more time to provide information about the cases filed against the 70-year-old Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief held on Wednesday.

SC Bench To Hear Hijab Ban Row Plea On August 29
The Supreme Court will hear a batch of appeals challenging the Karnataka High Court's order which had upheld the state government's order to ban hijabs in school and college classrooms. On August 29, the Apex Court bench-led by new Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit will hear the Hijab ban plea. The bench will also have justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia.

SC Says, Can't Stop Authorities To Take Action In Demolition Case
The Supreme Court refused to pass an interim direction to put a stay on demolitions across states, on July 13 hearing. The SC bench comprising of Justices BR Gavai and PS Narasimha asked the parties to complete pleadings in the matter, saying they can't pass an omnibus order to restrict authorities to take action. Furthermore, the Top Court also pushed the matter to August 10.

Shiv Sena Files Plea Against Floor Test Orders In SC, Hearing At 5 PM
The Supreme Court (SC) will hear the plea filed by Shiv Sena Chief Whip Sunil Prabhu, who challenged the floor test orders of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. On June 29, the Apex Court will hear the plea at 5 pm, in which the petitioner mentioned that the floor-test, to prove CM Uddhav Thackeray's majority in Assembly on June 30, is 'illegal'. Justice Suryakant and JB Pardiwala will review the plea.

SC Agrees To Prepone Hearing On EWS Quota In NEET-PG Admission
The Supreme Court announced to prepone the hearing on the matter of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota in the NEET-PG admission on January 5. The order came at the request of the Central government for an urgent hearing in the matter. A three-judge bench will hear the matter, reported The Print. Notably, the decision following the urgent hearing will help the government to start the NEET-PG counselling soon.

SC Likely To Prepone Hearing On EWS Quota In NEET Admission
The Supreme Court on January 3, said that it will decide whether a special bench can be set up to hear the issue of reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in NEET admission on January 4 or 5. Reportedly, the Union government requested the Court to hear the matter before the scheduled date on January 6. However, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta agreed to appoint a three-judge bench for the case.
