Delhi experienced rain, providing some relief from the stifling heat on July 16. The lowest temperature in Delhi on July 16 was 28.3 degrees Celsius, one degree above average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). “Thunderstorm with moderate to heavy intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of entire Delhi during next 2 hours,” tweeted RWFC, New Delhi.

Level 4 'Red Alert' Issued To Parts Of England Due To 'Extreme Heat'
Britain's Meteorological Department office issued a level 4 'Red Alert' to various parts of England, due to extreme heat. According to the weather forecast, Britain is expected to witness record-breaking high temperatures across the country. In the urban areas, the nights are also expected to be exceptionally warm. As of now, Britain's highest temperature of 38.7°C was recorded on July 25, 2019 in Cambridge University Botanical garden.

Ozone May Be Heating Earth More Than We Know, Claims Study
As per a research of University of California, alteration to ozone levels in the upper and lower atmosphere were responsible for almost a third of the Global warming. In addition, the impact was visible in ocean waters bordering Antarctica in the second half of the 20th century. ''This study reveals it also has a big impact on the ocean’s ability to absorb excess heat from the atmosphere,'' stated a researcher.
