Mumbai: 11 People Died, 120 Ill At Maharashtra Bhushan Award
At least eleven people died of sunstroke while many others were said to be critical. At a grand Maharashtra Bhushan award ceremony held at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai, more than 120 people suffered from dehydration, after being exposed to the scorching sun for a few hours. The event was held in the open-air and the arrangements were outdoor. Notably, the number of fatalities is likely to go up.

Four People Died Due To Heat Stroke In Telangana
In Telangana, four people died of heat stroke, amid the rising mercury levels. The deceased were daily vendors and hawkers in the regions of Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, and Warangal. The rising temperature, over 40 degrees Celsius, has been a major concern for the citizens of Telangana. Heatwave Alert In Maharashtra After Heatstroke Kills 4 People
Maharashtra Health Department expressed concern over surge in temperature, and heatwaves, which killed four people in the state. State surveillance officer Dr Pradip Awate said they have issued guidelines on drawing up a heat action plan and circulated amongst people to follow. Furthermore, the cooling rooms were also set up in the State, which reported highest temperature in March itself. The officials also advised people to be cautious.
