The death toll of the Maharashtra Bhushan Award rose to 14, after a woman died while undergoing treatment. Recently, at a state government event organised at Kharghar Garden, lakhs gathered to attend the ceremony. However, the scorching heat and increased temperature resulted in the death of people. At Least 25 Died Due To Heatstroke In Maharashtra This Year: Health Dept
At least 25 people have died due to heatstroke in Maharashtra, which is the highest in six years, revealed data from Health department. Nagpur has reported 11 deaths due to heatwave, which is the highest in the state. Meanwhile, Aurangabad has reported five deaths and Nashik has reported four. Notably, 19 people had died due to heatstroke, in the year 2016, reported ANI.
