China's 'Zhengzhou' City Experiences Extreme Rainfall, Floods
The Chinese city of "Zhengzhou" has witnessed an extreme record-breaking rainfall that has led to devastating floods and the loss of many innocent lives. Reportedly, many people were trapped and waiting for rescuers. While as many as 1.60.000 people were evacuated from the area, 5,700 army soldiers have been deployed for a search and rescue to locate those that are still missing.

China's Heaviest Rain In 1,000 Years; 12 Killed, 1 Lakh Rescued
The Zhengzhou city of China recorded a rainfall of 617.1 mm, the heaviest rain in 1,000 years from the evening of July 17 until the late night of July 20, said Chinese meteorologists. Reportedly, 12 people died so far in Zhengzhou, as they were situated near the Yellow River and one lakh people were rescued amid the floods. A rainfall alert has been issued for July 21.
