4 Months Old Baby Washed Away In Mumbai Rains
A harrowing accident unfolded as heavy rainfall disrupted train services between Thakurli and Kalyan, leading to a heart-wrenching incident where a four-month-old girl was swept away in a nearby stream. The incident occurred on July 19, when the city received heavy rainfall. According to sources, Yogita Rumale, aged 25, accidentally slipped and fell into the rushing waters while attempting to disembark from the train with her father.

Heavy Rainfall Alert In North Indian States, IMD Says 40 Years Record Broken
North Indian states including the national capital received heavy to very heavy rainfall, killing people in the past few days. The iMD issued an orange alert and asked people to be cautious with the rainfall, which has allegedly broken the 40 year old record. The IMD said a western disturbance prevailed over northern India, leading to an intense spell of rain in north Indian states like Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, J&K and Delhi.

Himachal Pradesh: 6 Dead, 10 Injured In Flash Floods & Rainfall
Due to heavy rainfall and flash floods in Himachal Pradesh, six people died and as many as ten people were injured. On June 26, the Himachal Pradesh National Disaster Management confirmed the deceased people and said, "303 animals were also reportedly died." In addition, property worth Rs 3 crore, and 124 roads and national highways were damaged. More details into the matter are awaited, said Himachal Pradesh Police.

IMD Issues Cyclone Mocha Alert Forming Over Bay Of Bengal
A cyclone named "Mocha" is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal, causing heavy to very heavy rainfall and cyclonic thunderstorm in West Bengal. In addition, Odisha has been put on alert, confirmed the Indian Meteorological Department. Death Toll In Pakistan Surpasses 1,000 As Rain Continues To Bring Floods
At least 1,033 people have died and 1,527 have been wounded in Pakistan as a result of rainfall and floods since June, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Nearly 119 people have perished and 71 have been wounded in the previous 24 hours. A total of 949,858 dwellings have been damaged or destroyed. Floods have affected at least 110 districts in Pakistan, with 72 of them declaring catastrophe.

Mumbai Weather Dept Predicts Intense Rainfall For Next 24 Hours
The Mumbai Meteorological department issued rain alert in the Maharashtra Capital. As per the weather department, heavy showers are predicted on August 16 and August 17, causing trouble to commuters due to water logging and heavy traffic.
