Nepal Chopper Crashes Near Mt. Everest, 6 Killed

A private commercial helicopter of Manang Air bearing tail number NA-MV has crashed near the Mount Everest region in Nepal, killing six people aboard, including five Mexican nationals. The officials, on July 11 confirmed the crash and said, the helicopter took off from the Surke Airport in Solukhumbu district at 10:04 am for Kathmandu. The chopper lost contact at an altitude above 12,000 feet at 10:13 am.

Indian Army Cheetah Helicopter Crashes In Arunachal Pradesh

An Indian Army Cheetah Helicopter crashed near Mandala, Arunachal Pradesh, on March 16. The helicopter was performing an operational sortie near Bomdila, when it was reported to have lost contact with the air traffic control (ATC.) Search parties have been organied, and operations are underway to look for the crew in the helicopter. Furthermore, this is not the first time such tragic crash was reported in AP.

Pakistan Military Chopper Crashes In Balochistan; All 6 Soldiers Onboard Dead

A Pakistan military helicopter crashed in the Balochistan province, killing all six soldiers on board. Of the six deceased, two were the helicopter’s pilots. The exact reason for the crash is yet to ascertained. Former federal minister Hussain Chaudhry expressed his condolences, and said that helicopter travel has become too dangerous, due to a high number of reported crashes. “RIP Bravehearts all were too young to die,” he tweeted.

Captain Varun Singh, Lone Survivor Of TN IAF Chopper Crash Incident Passes Away

Captain Varun Singh of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the lone survivor of the Tamil Nadu Chopper crash, died on December 15. He succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka. "IAF is deeply saddened to inform the passing away of brave heart captain Varun Singh," tweeted the IAF. On December 8, IAF Chopper crashed in Tamil Nadu, killing General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others.

Eight Presumably Dead In Russia's Helicopter Crash

At least eight people went missing and are feared dead after a helicopter crashed into Kamchatka peninsula lake in Russia's far East. There were 16 tourists on board and some of them managed to escape via luggage doors. The rescue team was dispatched to the scene. "Thick fog may have caused the pilot to land on the water surface thinking it was land," a police source said.

Army Seeks International Help To Find 2 Missing Pilots Of Crashed Helicopter

After a week of continuous search, Army has sought international help and asked Indian Navy's deep divers to look for a military helicopter that crashed near Ranjit Sagar Dam in Kathua district. The incident occurred on August 3 with two pilots onboard. Reportedly, the underwater search operation is very challenging due to zero visibility. "The military authorities are leaving no stones unturned," said Lieutenant Col Devendra Anand.

Army's ALH Dhruv Helicopter Crashed In Ranjit Sagar Dam

The Indian Army's ALH Dhruv helicopter crashed in Ranjit Sagar Dam on August 3, which is situated on the border of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district and Punjab's Pathankot district.
