Assam CM Expresses Cocern Over Alarming Rate Of Teenage Pregnancies
Assam CM Hemant Biswas highlighted that 16.80% is the rate of teenage pregnancy in the State. The rates are a major alarming concern, especially with the rising number of child marriage cases registered in the State. CM Biswas's statement comes at a time when the citizens of Assam are protesting against the arrest of those, involved in child marriage. "Our drive against child marriage is for public," said Biswas

Assam Govt Revises Night Curfew Timings Amid COVID-19 Surge
In view of the COVID-19 surge and Omicron threat, the Assam Government revised night curfew timing, from January 8. The imposed curfew would be from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, instead of previous 11:30 pm to 6:00 am. Hemant Biswas, Assam CM said all the offices, markets, malls would be functional till 9:00 pm. Anyone violating the rules of COVID-19 and night curfew would face consequences.
