Delhi Police Registers FIR Against Pawan Munjal Of Hero MotoCorp

The Delhi police has filed an FIR against Pawan Munjal, the Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, CNBC-TV 18 reported on October 9.The FIR was registered in relation to a matter before 2010 and has no relation with any ongoing investigation. With this FIR, the shares of Hero MotoCorp fell at 1:20 pm IST after the news broke out and were trading at Rs 2,946, down by 3.03%.

Hero MotoCorp IT Raid: Officials Report Bogus Unaccounted Expenses Worth Crores

In recent IT raids at Hero MotoCorp premises, officials seized unaccounted cash, documents, and other evidence of bogus purchases. As per IT officials, a farmhouse in Chhattarpur worth Rs 100 crore, accommodation entries amounting to Rs 1000 crore were found. Notably, IT searches were carried out at 40 premises of Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal, from March 23-26. Notably, the raids were carried out amid tax evasion allegations.

Hero MotoCorp Shuts All Manufacturing Plants As COVID Cases Surge

Amid enormous surge of COVID-19 cases in India, two-wheeler giant Hero MotoCorp has announced to temporarily shut down all its manufacturing plants across the country. As per the company, each plant and Global Parts Center will be closed four four days between April 22 and May 1, considering the local scenario. The company added that it will utilize the suspension period for maintenance work at the manufacturing plants.
